DAG & BRAGAN Oil & Gas Services is dedicated to addressing the emerging human, technological and environmental challenges involved in maintaining and operating new oil and gas fields in Uganda’s fast emerging petroleum industry. Aware of the need to engage and nurture the requisite technical skills, we have established extensive global partnerships with deep field experience and financial capacity and commitment to long-term investment in Uganda. We are therefore able to bring to our customers “Expert Hands” across all phases of our customers’ assets lifecycle, including core support services in logistics and other corporate services. At Dag & Bragan we recognize the crucial role of Corporate Governance and Risk Management in building confidence and trust with our partners and creating superior value for our shareholders. Our corporate governance framework has been designed in line with global best practices in Corporate Governance.
The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing management’s performance on behalf of shareholders. Its primary duties are to oversee Executive Management, who is charged with senior management, governance and control responsibilities to run the organisation on a daily basis, and to monitor management’s performance and adherence to corporate standards.
In discharging its duties, the Board delegates specific responsibilities to specific committees operating within clearly defined terms of reference and report to the full board. We adopt a combination of independent and complementary risk management systems, processes and structures to ensure sustainability of our business model . The Board of Dag & Bragan has constituted some key committees.
Our corporate responsibility strategy helps to actively contribute to the social and economic development of the communities in which we operate. In so doing build a better, sustainable way of life for the weaker sections of society and raise the country’s human development index. All projects are identified in a participatory manner, in consultation with the
community, literally sitting with them and gauging their basic needs. We recourse to the participatory rural appraisal mapping process. Subsequently, based on a consensus and in discussion with the village locals, and other influential parties, projects are prioritized.
